Civil Engineering Student | Problem Solver | Creative Thinker
A dedicated and enthusiastic third-year Civil Engineering student at Loughborough University, with management-level experience, committed to securing a rewarding career in Civil/Structural Engineering.
My passion for engineering is matched by my proven ability to lead teams and solve complex problems in high-pressure environments. I've developed strong problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work effectively in teams through extensive experience in management roles and hands-on construction work.
My background in both theoretical engineering principles and practical construction experience gives me a unique perspective on the field, allowing me to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.
Started part-time as a waiter, then moved to full-time one year later. Provided excellent customer service and learned the fundamentals of business operations. Developed strong communication and time management skills.
Promoted into a bar supervisor role, acting as a stepping-stone into management. Maintaining and cleaning the bar and cellar properly according to industry standards, executing consistent weekly stock counts and ensuring discrepancies are accounted for accurately were the tasks taken on under my service during this time.
After working full-time and progressing through supervisory roles, I was promoted to Assistant Manager. Since beginning my Civil Engineering degree at Loughborough, I have continued to hold these responsibilities, returning to the role during university breaks; The details of which includes overseeing day-to-day operations of the 17-bed and 200+ cover restaurant/bar, controlling deliveries and maintaining high standards, along with managing team members and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining operational efficiency.
During my tenure as Assistant Manager, the White Star Tavern has been named runner-up for the prestigious Griffin Trophy, Fuller's most revered award recognizing excellence in hospitality, operational standards, and team performance across their entire estate of pubs.
I spent three summer breaks working at a small, local building firm. This provided hands-on experience in construction, helping solve issues on site, double-checking soil shear strength parameters using in-situ testing, and working in tight time periods with minimal waste of resources. We worked while being unable to adjust timelines, requiring excellent problem-solving and adaptability.
I'm currently working on advanced computational fluid dynamics research, both for my dissertation and future research, focusing on fluid-flow interactions with complex vegetation structures. Additionally, I've led significant construction projects demonstrating strong leadership and project management capabilities.

Currently in my third year of a Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Studying structural analysis, fluid dynamics, and engineering principles. Deep understanding of power dynamics and teamwork theories through specialized modules.
Liverpool supporter, whether it be for better or for worse.
Into collecting older R&B, soul, along with UK rock/britpop.
Drive an old e46 BMW that keeps me busy.
Climbing, especially mountains is a big passion, and I've climbed in Iceland, the U.K, and the U.S.
Addicted to the sport, seemingly not addicted to getting better at it.
I'm always open to discussing new projects, creative ideas, or opportunities to be part of your visions.
